South Charlton
Going north on the A1 about 4 miles beyond the Alnwick exit, turn left at the exit for South Charlton. Bear right on to the B6347 to reach the church after one mile.
Eglingham
From South Charlton follow the B6347 to the junction with the B6346. Turn right on the B6346 towards Eglingham (3 miles). In village follow signs to church.
Old Bewick
Leave Eglingham along the B6346 to its junction with the road to Wooler. Carry on straight ahead to Old Bewick village (2.8 miles). Continue past the village for about ¼ mile. At the sign, turn right on to a single track lane for about ¼ mile to the church.
Chillingham
Return to the main road and turn right. Bear right at the fork and stay on the road for about 2.6 miles to Chillingham. In the village, turn right on to the road down to the church.
Chatton
Return to the main road and turn right. Carry on for 1½ miles to the T junction at Chatton. Turn right and, at the green, turn right again to reach the church.
Doddington
Return to the T junction and proceed straight ahead on the B6348. After about 2.7 miles, at the bottom of a steep bank, turn right and cross the narrow Weetwood Bridge. Take the first left and proceed along the lane for 1½ miles to the T Junction with the B6525. Turn right. In Doddington Village turn left (Drover’s Lane) and follow the road to the church (about ¼ mile).
Kirknewton
Back track to the other end of the village and turn right on the road signposted to Mindrum Mill. This country road twists and turns for about 3 miles to reach a T junction with the B6396. Turn left on the B6396 and stay on this road for 4 miles to reach Langham Bridge. Turn right and cross the bridge, Turn left on to the B6341 to Kilham and then Kirknewton (3.3 miles).
Wooler St Mary’s
Continue along the B6341 from Kirknewton to the T junction with the A697 (3 miles). Turn right and reach Wooler after 3.3 miles. Park in the Padgepool Place car park. St Mary’s is at the other end of the High Street, about 300 yards from the car park.
Ilderton
Leave Wooler on the A697 southbound. After 3.3 miles, turn right on the road to Ilderton and reach the church after 1 mile.
Ingram
Return to the A697 and turn right. Procced southbound on the A697 for 4¼ miles and turn right to Ingram. After 2¾ miles cross the bridge to reach the car park. Walk to the church via the footpath/boardwalk next to the car park.
